Trail du Grand Luberon

Event at Cabrières-d'Aigues :
This event is well-known in the world of trail running for its fun and friendly atmosphere, as well as for its routes which expose the panoramas of Grand Luberon, from the north to the south.
Participants run along wild trails, which lead up to peaks offering 360° views over the provençal massifs and the Alps.
It is one of the most difficult tests within the "Challenge des trails de Provence", attracting runners of all capabilities.
The 25 km long GRAND LUBERON TRAIL (1290D+) will show you both sides of the Grand Luberon (Cabrières-d’Aigues/Auribeau) and will take you via the Mourre Nègre, the highest point of the Luberon, with uphill climbs to the peak and single tracks on the way down.
The CABRI D’AIGUES TRAIL (14 km and 700D+) will be our 100% local trail which will link together the classic Cabrièraines sights. Pass through the Ravin de l’Escalette to rejoin the GR9 at the Basse de Cabrières, taking it a bit easy on the summits to admire the 360° panoramic views across the Provençal Massifs. Descend on the jas de Pécou, the pied de bœuf and the tombe du pin, before finishing, per tradition, on the Château steps.
