AROMA'PLANTES is an organic family farm, located on the slopes of Mont Ventoux at an altitude of 750 metres, that specialises in growing medicinal and aromatic plants. Tours, walks and lavender-themed workshops available. The shop was extended in 2020 to 55m2, with an additional space called "La galerie du temps" (The Gallery of Time). It presents traditional crafts associated with lavender. Self-led access, free of charge (from May).
In summer, why not try one of our 3 workshops:
Soap-making workshop for children
Soap-making workshop for adults
The Liardet family grows fine lavender, lavandin, common sage, savory, helichrysum and many other plants that you'll find along the two marked footpaths that border the fields.
An information sheet that allows you to identify which plant is which is available from the shop.
The distillery, which is open to the public, produces essential oils, floral waters, and dried plants on-site. It's a beautiful, fun-filled trip that stimulates all the senses.
During the harvest, you can help with the distillation of the plants in the three stills that are in use most of the year. Visit the Lavandoscope, devoted to lavender, and the plantothèque outside, where you can learn about and appreciate Mediterranean plants. The distillery is also the starting point for two marked circuits so you can explore the countryside and fields of plants which border the footpaths at your leisure.
"Le Musée de champs" discovery circuit (45 minutes approx.), "Les grandes terres" discovery circuit (1 hour 15 mins approx.).
There are also a range of products for sale, in the old, vaulted farm stables. The brand "Cosmessences" (cosmetics entirely made in Arôma'plantes' laboratories) was created in 2013. Soap-making workshops for adults and children and cosmetics workshops are available.
If you fancy a herbal tea or 100% organic fruit juice, head for the Aromatic' Bar.
Guided tours available in summer including chance to harvest and distill lavender yourself. You will leave with your own small bottle of essential oil.
Bike-friendly site with changing rooms.
