Formerly owned by the Marquis of Mirabeau, the Château de Clapier has been a wine-growing estate since 1880. The wine-grower, Thomas Montagne, works carefully to hone his wine, with his 40 hectares of vineyards under 24/7 supervision. Many events are laid on including guided tours of the cellars (by appointment, for groups of 5 to 30 persons). Closed Sundays, banks holidays and between Christmas and the New Year. The Castle is open from Monday to Saturday from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm and from 2 pm to 6 pm.
Integrated farminghelps Thomas get the most out of this wonderful territory that’s ideal forvineyards. Many great varieties grow in the vineyard, such as Pinot Noir, forwhich he acts as ambassador in Luberon. Pinot confers an original, elegant touchto his distinctively powerful, wines bursting with sunshine. His red Soprano vintagefor example appeals to wine-lovers with a taste for adventure!
