A mountain bike trail that heads to the medieval village of Lacoste from Les Beaumettes and the banks of the Calavon.

The departure from the EV8 cycle route is ideal for stretching the legs before climbing the slopes that lead to the quaint narrow streets of Lacoste and the castle, the one-time residence of Marquis de Sade.

The bucolic return passes through vineyards and the borders of the forest plateau.

Variation: option to continue further north to Gordes by following trail no. 47 ''From Calavon to the Col de Gordes'', then extending again by taking trails no. 46, 45, and 41 as far as Lagnes!
