ITINERARY: (211 m). From the stadium car park, take the D139 which passes in front of Château de Lourmarin and continue until you reach the crossroads.
Cross the D27 and carry straight on, following the yellow sign. Head uphill along the path, then continue along a narrow track (ignore sign marked “private property”). Turn off onto the D943. (1: 241 m – 1.8 km). Turn right then immediately take the uphill path on the left (careful of traffic when crossing the road).
At the end of this path, follow the track leading downhill.
When you reach the crossroads, leave the yellow-marked path on the right: carry straight on and follow the track running alongside a small cliff. Once you arrive at a large plateau, turn slightly left and cycle along the vineyard until you join a path (2 :260-4km). Go past the barrier and follow the path which joins a small road a little further on. Turn left to climb road (following yellow signs).
At the beginning of the downhill section, at the yellow sign “Les Fourques,” continue straight on towards Lourmarin. When you reach a left turn in the road, take the signposted path straight on (quite steep section). At the next crossroads, take the small road on the left. At the end of this road, continue along the path. Turn immediately left and cut across the vineyards (yellow signs are not always visible). (3: 258 m – 6.8 km). When you reach the edge of the wood (ruined gate on the right), leave the yellow-marked path which continues straight on and take the path on the left which climbs along the vineyards and wood. At the crossroads, turn right. After a short flat section, continue downhill to join road. Turn left (follow the yellow signs until you reach Lourmarin).
A little further along, at the crossroads, take the road on the right. After 150 m, leave this road and carry straight on along a path and then a track (gentle descent). Continue down a paved road and join the D943 once you reach Lourmarin (roundabout). Continue straight through the village until you reach the car park.
Visitor Information: when you reach point 2, remember to take a short detour to the right to see the ruins of Château de Cadenet, a site with a beautiful view that overlooks the village.
