Stay viligant between point 1 (Sorgues) and 2 Le Pontet.
The passage between Sorgues and Le Pontet will be busy.

Families with children are advised to take the train to Sorgues station, to get to Avignon.

A 2-stage route alternating between narrow roads and greenways along the banks of the Rhône (Mornas - Piolenc) or along the "canal path" to enter Avignon.Caution required between Sorgues and Le Pontet. Things to see and do en route: - Les Girardes lake in Lapalud.- Mornas Fortress- Piolenc swimming lake- Caderousse and Orange- Chateauneuf du Pape- Avignon, its famous bridge and popes' palace, but also its river islands.
