Nougaterie André Boyer
The tourist service at Sault :La Maison André Boyer, master nougat-maker since 1887, creates white and black nougat, macarons, einkorn galettes, calissons and marshmallows, by following original recipes. These traditionally handcrafted products are labelled "Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant" ("Living Heritage Company").
Authentic Sault nougat is handmade using carefully selected products: lavender honey harvested on the slopes of the Mont Ventoux and local almonds. White nougat, which is smooth, airy and soft, and carefully caramelised black nougat are the two sweets whose quality of flavour has remained the same for more than a century, and which have earned this house its reputation. Come and discover this traditional skill!
